DemonRally @ Olympus Rally 2008, Stage 1: 1st overall 2WD and regional

The first (and only) stage of the Demon Rally Olympus Rally effort. We set fastest time for regional competitors, fastest time for all 2WD cars, and 13th overall in the national competition, beating 32 other cars including an R32, a 400 horsepower turbo Volvo, a Mitsubishi Evo IV, and 15 Subarus including a brand new 2008 STI.

Despite our best efforts, on stage 2 the Rabbit rolled and ended our rallying for a while. We are currently gathering funds to build a new car and will be offering many ways to support the team at demonrally.com.

Hey man...my bad i saw you at hood river rally and dufur...on the 15th never got to ask you any questions but i saw your car giveout going up the hill on like stage 2 of that day or something the fir mountain stage....then you got it up and running on the next stage then i drove by and you were broke down on side of the road hope you get your car fixed what happened?

@TheRallycrossKing No problem. We had a tough rally. On Day 1, we broke an axle. On Day 2 we battled intermittent fueling problems and then the A-arm bolt broke and we decided not to push it. We did pretty well on Day 3, though. It was a tough weekend for a lot of folks! Hope you had fun out there!

@TheRallycrossKing this was the last full stage that our old VW Rabbit ran. We salvaged most of the good stuff and put it in our new car, a 1988 MkII Gti. You can see us at Oregon Trail later this month!
