how to test hid ballast quality? How to know which ballast is good quality?which is bad quality? The best important method is test ballast working current stability. On my video, you will see the green number from the left machine. One green number is 13.2V.It is ballast'normal working voltage.Another green number is ballast'working current. If the ballast is good quality, the working current will work steadily. For example:when you turn on the ballast, the ballast'starting current is 6A.and this 6A will go down to 3.2A.if it is good quality, the working current will be:6A-5.9A-5.8A-5.7A-5.6A-5.5A-5.4A----3.2A..If it is not so good ballast,it will be 7A-6.4A-6A-5.3A-5.2A-3.7A---3.2A(this is only a sample, but this current work not steadily,so it is not so good ballast). If you have any problem, please email us:carlight_2006@hotmail.com...www.auto-product.com..we welcome hid wholesaler,retailer,etc....

I know my friend Carl very well and he was very kind to test me, even before he made this videos how to test hid xenon, he is very good and yes, he used to sell but it's been more than 8 months that I talked to him last. If you want I can get you what you want, it's not cheap but works pretty good. I have sold many in the US to friends at sr20forums and a few more. Best Regards

  • @distantxtremes do you sell on the internet? im looking to buy another hid kit because im tired of the shitty defective kits, first kit lasted a year barely, second one 2 days, got replacements and one was bad out of the box, they were "xentec" if you sell online I will be happy to buy a kit from you, please let me know.

  • Very pleased with these videos. What most buyers don't realize is that you can't see quality just by looking at a ballast. A lot of internal components determine quality. For 10 years we have been selling HID so I know which companies to use. Also Bulbs & Ballasts are not always optimally compatible. Choosing a good ballast & bulb combination is very important if you want a kit to last a long time. Our premium kits last over 3 years. They use hyluxtek ballasts and cnlight bulb combination.

  • Other than flickering, how do you determine if a ballast is digital is analog or digital? I currently buy digital HID kits from overseas but am not happy with the defective rate. The only way I know to filter out the bad ballasts is to burn them for at least 3 hours. I am also aware that there are new high quality analog ballasts that do not flicker. These do not intrest me. I am looking for High quality ballasts that will last at least 18 months.

  • @djmaunder The information in this video is more valuable than you realize.

  • Current number of views: 7939. Betcha there has been 7936 people disappointed in this video. I was hopnig for some nice explanation and discussion stuff....

  • Does anyone have a Schematic for an HID Circuit? I've found one but I'd like to find a True Phillips HID Ballast or some other Quality Ballast...

Anyone have a Suggestion you can PM me if you have this info...

  • there is a lot of variation in current! this is surprising.
