Well, it was nice of Mayor Quimby to give Bill that Million Dollar cheque.

All kidding aside, this is one of those moments in NASCAR history that you can honestly say helped put it on the map. A million dollars is a lot of money these days... but in 1985?? Forget about it!!

Hell, what scares me is that half the people who will probably watch this video weren't born until quite a few years after this race. I was two years old at the time, but I did get a nostalgic feeling just watching through this one.

Our family car was a 1982 Pontiac Grand Prix, and seeing these boxy cars and their wicked-awesome paint schemes made me wish things were as simple as they used to be.
