  • Like a idiosyncratic cross between Kraftwerk 'n Joy Division. Only better. A unique sonic masterpiece from the start of the 80's. Thanks for putting this up Fery. Thumbs up!

  • Thanks for the comment faddy:). The sound and picture quality is not very good, I am afraid, but anyway is a great document of early Simple Minds.

  • Classic stuff. The early days were the best.

  • I like this track a lot. It strikes me that there is a real Can influence on this. The bass part sounds like something Czukay would play circa "Monster Movie", and the percussive thing the keyboards do in the verse parts is reminiscent of "Spoon".

  • Simple Minds at their best.

Never seen this before. I was a major fan in this era. Early stuff was amazing

  • Never seen this before. Was lent Sons And Fascination in the school playground in 1981, and fell in love that night. Saw them twice at the Lyceum (Dec 82/83) - cannot understand to this day where it all went wrong. This performance is remarkable - Kerr is at the most assured ever - no sign if self consciousness. Compare this to the beret and hose shit that was only a 5 years away.

  • @Biigfish559 - I'm glad I was an 80's brat too ha ha..

  • @faddy24 Ace Stuff!!! Of course not knocking JK but I can't help thinking of the Monty Python ministry of silly walks at some of his moves but, as I say, all part of the magic, he danced as he felt, much like Ian Curtis. Glad I was an 80's brat!

  • Before they "sold out" to main-stream commercialism - excellent stuff, thanks for sharing. Have all the songs on CD, but seeing these early performances is always a pleasure.

  • Pure gold, where did it all go wrong........

  • Excellent, thanks for posting.

  • thanks fuck me amazing
