Charley Pride had the #1 hit with this tune, but Nixon was the first to chart with his version in 1975, when it reached #64. I like them both! A request from "drummerbraves".
A St. Louis stalwart during the '70's & '80's. Saw Nick perform live at a place called "The Downspout" near STL airport many times. Could someone please post "Leave Your Back Porch Light On" or "Turning You Loose"?
Always loved hearing Nick and the band play..... Would love to go back 30 yrs , even for just a day..... So much fun we had......Lived for those weekends.....

GREAT stuff ... my dad, jimmy hoff, played guitar on a lot of his stuff.
What about 'Long stemmed Rosie?'
'Turn your back porch light on' is also great.
Have known Nick since I was boy ... and my father still plays once in a while ... one of the greatest guitar players EVER!
If you see this, Nick, please contact me!
