This roundtable covered copyright on the Internet and Congressional legislation designed to thwart Internet piracy (e.g. The Protect IP Act) by allowing domain name delisting and requiring credit card providers, advertisers, and search engines to cease transactions that deal with the owners of sites deemed to be infringing. The roundtable also featured a Q&A session covering Patent Reform and other top issues.
Congresswoman Lofgren is a founding member of the Congressional Internet Caucus and a member of the subcommittees on Energy and the Environment and Investigations and Oversight of the Committee on Science, Space and Technology and the subcommittees on Intellectual Property, Competition and the Internet and Immigration Policy and Enforcement of the Committee on Judiciary Committee.
