@girlie347 keep in mind, too, that the concept of singer/songwriter is a powerful one for an audience to behold. just look at how popular they were in the early 70s. even if J isn't technically a good singer it means a lot just for him to sing his own words. he's keepin it real, basically. what he plays and what he sings are one and come straight from the heart.

J is a great guitar player but I think he made a mistake by never getting a proper singer for his band and insinting on singing himself instead. Most Dinosaur Jr songs are let down by the poor vocals. Those guys could have been much bigger if they just tried a bit harder.

Another reasons I don't like festivals is the fact so many of them seem to feel the need to provide a VIP chill-out zone IN FRONT OF THE FUCKING STAGE, where the pit should be. Fucking bullshit, but alas, so it goes. As far as the plethora of soulless, shitty music today, well, let's just say now, more than ever, is the time to do your own thing, fuck what's on TV and/or the drizl being hyped today. Oh, thanks for uploading all these Dino vids, btw. Keep on rocking.
