Even when money was based on gold, it was completely meaningless. You can't eat gold, it wont clothe you and it is valuable for only as long as people are willing to pay for it. Everything in the world is based on this non-resource and people starve and die for the lack of it. There is plenty of resource to go around several times over for every person on this planet and more; it is disgusting that people and governments base every decision on it. It is time humanity grew up.

Update: Denier-gate has failed; the scientists have been exonerated; the hacker is still at large; Climate Change (AGW) is still accepted science.

lord monckton is a clown and has been heavily discredited. many investigations have been made into these issues and have shown up nothing. the conspiracy theories here are ludicrous and i look forward to anything said by someone on this side of the issue and in the broader climate change debate that is not hysterical and based in fact. it would seem that the further the facts count against all this nonsense the more they have to lean on the ideas of conspiracy theories. get a grip.

and

2. An international panel of academics set up by the University of East Anglia.

The findings of both inquiries are now in. Here they are:

OK , I'm sceptical about both sides of this debate. Though it seems that the right wing "neocons" are driven by hate , blame and fear. The people at the top of the tree must be in hysterics, when they watch the chaos they create.
