I loved both of them, Sunshine was better for exploration because it was less linear, but Galaxy was better gameplay wise and music wise, it was purely epic and both of them are considered by me some of the best game ever.

You can't compare the Super Mario Top Games (Super Mario Bros. 1,2 ,3, Super Mario World and so on...), they're all Awsome.

It's obvious that Nintendo put more thought into Galaxy than Sunshine because the attention to detail was much more prevelant in Galaxy. That's why Galaxy received higher scores from critics. If Sunshine would've been tweaked a few times, it could've been right up there with Galaxy. They're both good games regardless.
