Wooshie - Ambient Breathing Light IR Remote On Arduino

Wooshie is an invention of mine,it's not copyrighted,it's kopimi-ed,so go ahead,kopimi!
It's a simple Ambient light that look like it's "breathing" and it's remote controled,battery powered.
(in the video you might notice a cable,it's only cauz my 9v battery were all dead when I made the software works =P)

Components;
1 CD tower (as a project case)
3 Green Leds
3 Blue Leds
1 tiny breadboard (actually a regular sized breadboard cuted by need XD)
1 SIS-2 IR receiver Chip DIP package
1 IR Receiver
1 Battery for arduino (with cables and stuff)
1 Remote of Any kind,smaller is cooler =P
X A bunch of jumpers
1 Plastic bag to cover the inside and "blend" the light
1 Arduino Diecimila
So the SIS-2 Rev 4 chip is actually reading a signal from the ir receiver and once it has been told what actually were the correct signal to use it just triggfers 2 outputs pins to 5V( or so). These outputs are read by Arduino which call a routine if 1 or the other pins is high or even both for a green-blue light effect.

It's a simple and cool way to illuminate your work area late at night and make your neighboors wonder what kind of mad scientist you are!.


I encourage all of you to recreate wooshies all around the world,these lil beast will rule it someday =D
Try different softwares,micro controllers,chip,activation signals (like a night wooshie for example that light when it's dark!) but remember!

TO BE A WOOSHIE IT MUST :

1-"Breathe" a colored light (any kind of light,and yes,you could turn your house into a wooshie)
2-Be autonomus once activated you can't turn the knob of your room's light and call this a wooshie -_-)
3-Have someway of activation different than just plugging power in....(be creative!)

ive been trying to simulate a "breathing effect" with leds for my computer/xbox 360

is there any way to create one without programming a chip?

if not what is the easiest chip to program?

what would you use to write? python?

pleasee help
