  • health and safety rep's will freak-out... first rule of track safety - cross the track on the ballast, not on the sleeper ! nice vid, thanks.

  • That yellow carriage in the back's the ballast train, I think.

  • Thanks for the info, Milepost7. Here in the U.S., we regard just about any road locomotive with exterior walkways as a roadswitcher, hence my use of the term.

  • 5 feet 3 inchs. Irish gauge. Its not a switcher - the train engines shunt their own trains.

  • I don't think I've ever seen a double-cab roadswitcher before. What is the track gauge?
