True dat, w/o knowledge how to read music you won't be able to play from sheets and not knowing all the scales, chords and theory will make you unable to improvise. I know there's a lot to learn but in the end it's well worth it and i speak from personal experience too.

@louise000ca i couldn't stop reading your comment from the beginning cuz i'm a beginner too. And i'll give you one advice: you MUST learn the notes, so you can enjoy more learning (theory/playing), without them you won't go far man, believe me. And it's not that hard! The keyboard/piano only has 8 (Atcually,7 the othe 8th repeats the first note) : C D E F G A B C
It's not really an hard task. Make piano learning fun!

HI. . . i love these lessons since i'm just a beginner and want to learn at home but i don't really want to learn the notes. . like to learn by having the chords in front of me. ei. c g . . ceg. . . i can't read music notes. when download the pdf. files they are using music notes. . do you have the chords in pdf. in need to know what chords i'm playing instead of notes. i'm just a beginner but enjoying every minute of it.
