I loved this video so freaking much. I guess that's what happens when you're a muslim nerdfighter and John Green beautifully explains things with such care. Really tackled some common misconceptions and stereotypes of the religion. John, thanks for being made of awesome <3

I think maybe it just has to do with the fact that John does seem quite disgruntled with the negative stigma surrounding Islamic beliefs in the western world. As you say we know Johns beliefs, so all I can guess is that he had a reason for describing it how he has. Maybe it is as simple as it is just his novelist side showing it's self, you know seeing the world through the eyes of another. I dunno.
