Thomas "Guitar" Gable was one of the most unique guitar players ever, playing the guitar flat on his lap using only his thumbs. He performed with many of the blues greats including, Nappy Brown, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Vaughn, BB King, Elmore James, James Brown. His claim to fame came as he was the guitar player on Madame Edma Gallmon Cooke records at Nashboro Records. There he met JD Miller who Mr. Gable claimed used him to perform as "Guitar Gable" all over the "chittlin circuit" in the 1950's. He also played guitar for James Brown in the 50's . An avid song writer and performer, Mr. Gable is truly missed.

i dont know where this is but i'm pretty sure that's the fake guitar gable that got a vintage telecaster from a great blues guy and hocked it. where is this from ? the real one usually played with cc adcock. if this is the bay area, its the fake guy. he was a crack up. i met him at lou's pier 47. no disrespect. would love to know. if there's a doubt, get a hold of cc adcock. he'd know.
