  • Man, Guy is still so low tier (I'm a Guy player). I haven't watched the full video, but watching that OS against Honda was disappointing. The non-EX butt slams, I think, is a better trade for Honda. I waste a meter, for less damage than the Honda player and I lose positioning. :/

  • @thewarrior195 there are other OS, slide OS will go under his butt slam and setup combos from the other side. Or you can hold up back, if he does buttslam you can land air bushin throw ;) Still a great video... I mean, you don't have to jump vertically either, vs Cammy etc, dash x 2 then apply grounded OS from there.. for example, low lp, slide OS. Guy has many options!

  • @gazpalmer This video is based on air based option selects after run slide... reason being is because it bypasses a lot of reversals other than shoto reversals... or 3 frame reversals. Regardless, your comment is a lot of information I already know. I was purposely trying to find the best ONE option select you can do on each character, stuffing the most amount of moves. The best ONE option select on Honda is EX Hurricane. Why not slide? Because EX headbutt owns slide, bro.

  • @thewarrior195 "Man, Guy is still so low tier (I'm a Guy player)." Such a funny comment. If you don't like Guy, stop using him. If he's so low tier that you can't handle him, just don't play the character. Use high tier, it'll better suit you.

  • @Nexttimeillwin Are you denying that he's low tier? Why the elitist comment? lol And way to use that one statement out of context. Got some good argumentative skills there.

  • @thewarrior195 Haha, I just hate how you act like he should be high tier. You chose to play the character, he's low tier. Don't complain about a character you play when you can easily just change your character. Guy is low tier, I happen to LOVE that he's low tier. Let's keep him that way.

  • @thewarrior195 all i want is fadc ex tatsu and more blockstun/hitstun on elbow drops. thats all i fuckin want. I've bitch for so long playing with guy but i can't bring myself to just drop him. i like the amount of tools he has and the fact that winning with him is more so a display of the players skill. Picking up Evil Ryu while keeping Guy on deck is my current move.

  • @Nexttimeillwin Well just because you love him that way, doesn't 'mean everyone should. It's also a false dichotomy to choose between high tier, and low tier. Why not just mid tier, where you have to work hard for the win, but not so much where you have to be so precise in bad situations?

  • So helpful. Love the videos keep it up!

  • If anyone wants to help teach me Guy, add me on Live - my ID is "Airlock Holmes." I just got this game yesterday.

  • this video is fucking brilliant. metro city 4 life. lots of godlike tech on display all over the place.

  • love how you just call DJ's jacknife maximum ''hey hey hey''

  • Guy wins.

  • ha genesis music.... nice. In all honest guy is about mid low tier... playing guy comes with high risk/reward gameplay.

If you can gauge a opponents spacing you have a edge because most opponents find themselves not able to control the range guy can assault at.. overall the problem is obviously the high risk side of the house if you play him to recklessly that's your ass.

  • @thewarrior195 Well, I main Guy since Alpha2, and he was always underused due to his complexity. Why should things change now? I can understand all complaining about SSF4's Guy flaws, but now he got fixed the most.

He is still difficult to play with because he was meant to be this way since they brought him into the game. This is Guy's way, and I always loved it!

    Sorry for bad english.

    Best regards.

  • Oh dude, thank you SO MUCH for share knowledge with noobs like me! It will be SO helpful since I can do good combos and pokes with Guy, but I really don't know what to do in both meaty and wake up game.

    Great soundtrack collection also!

    Best regards.

    Live ID - Bushinjutsuka.
