IDENTITY IN CHRIST: Ephesians 1:3 "We have received every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus." WHO AM I IN CHRIST? I AM OVERTAKEN WITH BLESSINGS!
Scripture for today: Colossians 3:12-14, 1:10-3, & Romans 15:30-33
TODAY'S MESSAGE: "The Agony of Prayer" in a series "Living Generously"
I IMPLORE YOU, I BESEECH YOU, I URGE YOU, THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST AND THROUGH THE LOVE OF THE SPIRIT TO SYNAGONIDZOMAI, TO JOIN ME IN MY STRUGGLE, TO STRIVE WITH ME, TO AGONIZE WITH ME, IN PRAYERS TO GOD FOR ME...IN MY MINISTRY. (Romans 15:30)
Notice 3 things here: 1. Paul recognizes prayer as a struggle, an agonizing, a striving, even the sense of fighting is in the Greek verb. 2. Paul wouldn't call for prayer for himself and his ministry if he didn't believe prayer to God through the Lord Jesus and His Spirit would bring benefits and blessings. 3. This is direct from the Bible. Therefore its not meant only for Paul's friends to pray. God's Spirit is calling us to struggle together in prayer.

How often do you agonize, struggle in prayer?

Are there Christians that you agonize together with in prayer?

Is there a commitment to prayer you would like to make to the Lord today?
