Unfortunately mine also died after use in the rain. It is a known problem as noted on biking forums. The switch connection rusted on mine, you can see it. Shame, as i loved this light until it died. Not giving up tho i'm going to try the 3 LED Gekko instead as the rubber removable casing looks like a better design.

I've had mine now for a couple of years; I ride my bike every day, in a place that has extreme heat, extreme cold, powerful thunderstorms, and blizzards. I ride year-round. The light is like new.

'splash of water'? you're talking bollocks. I've had it for six months, heavy rain, snow, dropped in puddles, covered in mud. no problems. great design, great value. i'd recommend it.

Try getting a splash of water on it, and then watch how it NEVER turns off.
