Trillium Dell Timberworks raised this 40 x 60 frame for the Cross family of Oblong, Illinois in the spring, 2010. The frame was found on a farm in Indiana and removed by Trillium Dell to its workshop in Knoxville, Illinois. There the frame was restored and some of the original timbers replaced. The restoration saved more than 30% of the original structure - but what's most important to the Cross family is the size and room provided. Each of the family's four kids will now get their own bedroom. Plus, the barn conversion is a lifelong dream for Karen, the homeowner. She admits having a passion for barns for as long as she can remember. The rustic heavy timber construction is also a perfect fit for her other passion - antiques.
