Hey does anybody know how exactly you can make a laser out of sodium vapor, or mercury vapour or even copper vapour lamps? It would really make a nice set of lasers with fluorescent lamps like that to sinthesize Ozone...usefull in many ways :)

Nice! Now, you have your own sun in your room! :)

i'm sorry but I understood you wrong
you are right :)

I'm saying they're not burned out.
Fail on his part because these lamps do not "burn out." They cycle and eventually stop igniting all in all.

i have seen third fixture in many places in estonia but i haven't seen the first and the second around. What year are fixture made? i have a SKZR-250 mercury vapour lamp fixture from 1977 at the balcony and a pile of 250 watt and two 400 watt mercury vapour bulbs. Collecting dust: Osram Powerstar HQI-E 400 watt metal-halide, vialox 400 watt NAV-E, four 150 watt and one 400 watt sodium-vapour -bulbs but I don't have a ignitor and drossel for them. Any ideas what to do with them?

These fixtures are from 80's, without ignitor, you don't start these bulbs
i have in my collection 72 bulbs :) (mercury sodium MH incandescent etc)
