As far as kidnapping or anything like that goes, it doesnt really apply here. Because majority of the time for kidnapping the victim usually knows the person doing the kidnapping or its completely at random. they wouldnt really take the time to get to know your name or care ("it puts the lotion in the basket" type deal).
I think some people are blowing this way out of proportion. Just as it was demonstrated in the video they user had control of what information was being shown. If you dont set anything up to share then none of your information would pop up. To take it a step further if you did not want anyone to know anything about you could set it up to show a contact info that said "stop pointing your camera at me" or anything along those lines.
It's exactly as Josh Harris predicted. Look up his documentary titled We Live In Public. The world is falling into a public world through internet capabilities such as this one, and soon we will no longer see privacy as a societal norm. Anyone's life can be pulled up right in front of our eyes at the click of a button.
And despite my love of technology, the loss of privacy could have chillnig results on the limits of personal freedom. We really need to think about how far we push these limits before big brother statists slit our throats with them.
Its nice BUT it is other step to blogal information control of every person who "is or was" online. I don't like it. If I'd like company presentation or if I'd like to know something about somebody I'd prefer to talk with him (not to stalk him on the internet behind his back) I am IT and I regred that I'm part of this upcoming information control dictatorship and censorship.
