Augmented ID is a TAT concept that visualizes the digital identities of people you meet in real life. With a mobile device and face recognition software from Polar Rose, Augmented ID enables you to discover selected information about people around you. All users control their own augmented appearance, by selecting the content and social network links they want show to others. Modifying your augmented ID is easier than fixing your hair in real life and, of course, TAT Cascades will make sure you look great!

cool concept. but people could easily program an app that finds other accounts under the same username or uses p2p to get what other people saw when they used the app and then everyone know he was parying like it was 1999

"Augmented whatever" seems to be the new catch phrase these days. I guess all these nonsensical augmented apps are "augmenting" someone's bank account too.

I think some people are blowing this way out of proportion. Just as it was demonstrated in the video they user had control of what information was being shown. If you dont set anything up to share then none of your information would pop up. To take it a step further if you did not want anyone to know anything about you could set it up to show a contact info that said "stop pointing your camera at me" or anything along those lines.
