Maura and Tom, You're Season 4 Everyday Edisons!

Edison Nation CEO, Louis Foreman gives inventors, Maura Indes and Tom Adam the news they have been selected as featured inventors on Season 4 of "Everyday Edisons," the Emmy & Telly Award winning PBS Invention show.

With experience working in both Cosmetology and Real Estate, Maura Indes never dreamed the next entry on her resume would read "inventor." But, that's exactly what happened when the Carefree, AZ resident had an encounter with her cat that sparked an innovative idea. Using materials found around her home, Maura created the first prototype of her invention, but knew it needed a bit more enhancement if she was going to pursue development. That's when her husband Tom, a real estate broker, stepped in to head-up prototype development, market research, and ultimately come up with a key component of their prototype that would become the basis for final patent approval.

Once Maura and Tom had the foundation laid for their product, they still found difficulty moving the process forward, so they began researching for guidance, where they learned of Edison Nation and ultimately Everyday Edisons. Maura and Tom decided to audition, but flight difficulties and a several unfortunate events throughout the day caused them to nearly miss the casting call, just making it as the last to attend the Saturday audition.
