Republican Newt Gingrich and his rival Mitt Romney clashed in the opening moments of Thursday's debate in Florida. Gingrich said Romney is the "most anti-immigrant" candidate and Romney called such rhetoric "inexcusable" and "repulsive." (Jan. 26)

  • lmao, this d-bag promised a moonbase by 2012

  • But if politicians can't label people with highly charged epithets when they disagree, they'd actually have to use their brains and discuss things rationally. And dammit, this is America. We just don't discuss things rationally here.

  • A heated attack on scum vs scum

  • @ROlshansky1 That is a terrible idea. I suspect none of these politicians know how difficult it is to learn a language after a certain age or older. Some people need parts of the government to either translate or facilitate communication between them. I live in a city of about 80 thousand, and it's about 80% Hispanic. Most of the businesses are Hispanic "oriented" and many or their owners don't speak a shred of english, yet they provide jobs and a ton of money to the local economy, and taxes.

  • Beautifully and lovingly said. Romney is a gentleman and a good man. AND HE IS A MORMON! While Gingrich stole Christmas and HE IS A MORON! Hahahahahahah!

    I made a funny!!!!

  • I bet if Newt Gingrich was president, he'll want to send all illegal immigrants to the moon.

  • @DynamicoS21 Not necessarily. What it means is that all branches of the federal government could operate solely in English. More specifically, government workers - like in telecommunications, defense lawyers, or postal workers - cannot legally serve an entirely Spanish town in Spanish. Of course, since government is involved partially in business, no business documents cannot be in English. So eventually, Spaniards cannot do business with other Spaniards in the language they choose.

  • @ROlshansky1 I don't really understand the point of it. If someone want's a good job in the U.S. they have to speak English already, so how would an "official" language work? If I'm out with my friends or my family I can't speak another language publicly? It just seems like a ridiculous idea but for some reason the rest of the American public eats it up.

  • But mit, you're using over-the-top language while you're responding to it!

  • @JogBird That is a good idea. It's about time the human race goes into space.
