Pressmaker/printmaker Bill Ritchie shows how he tests Mini Halfwood No. 42 before sending it to its owner in Hawaii. He chooses etching/drypoint to make the plate, a memorial portrait.

  • Arrepentido, el precio equivocado fue dado. La prensa de Número 77 son EEUU$833.

  • No way, but you can use plaster prints. Google on that. You make up a cup or so of plaster of Paris and pour it on your inked plate. It sets up, and when you peel out the plate from the plaster, it takes the ink with it, and you get a facsimile of what it would look like on paper. Actually plaster prints are cool. My students used to put gauze and sticks and etc. into the process. The print can be carved, painted, etc. - it's like a whole other art form, part print, part sculpture.

  • I absolutely love your press,perfect it looks for up to A4 prints..Oh I so wish you'd make me one..if you see this could you let me know how much one would cost,unfortunately I'm in the UK ....nice video..could watch all day .cheers pixie :)

  • Hello really nice vid,I'm abit obsessed with printing at the min , I have access to a press+studio for the 1st time in 20yrs!! ..I do alot of drypoint+intaglio.using zinc...where you using copper there?+.drypoint often using drypoint card ,good results...could you please tell me where I could buy a mini printing press similar to the one you use...its just gorgeous... I have limited access to a full size 1 ,v hard to use+and 150yrs old....thankyou have just subbed,nice channel ;))) thanks Lynne
