Oh, who cares how much of this is really true or not. Ma Barker's Killer Brood is how things should have been. And after seeing this wild, hilarious, and consistently over-the-top B-movie bio-pic, it's damn near impossible to think of Ma Barker any other way than as played by everyone's favorite scenery-chewing little old lady, LURENE TUTTLE: "Shoot him, Herman! Shoot him!" A familiar character actress usually cast as folksy old housewives, Miss Turtle was probably best known as the star of the CBS-TV show Life with father. (1960 also found her doing a bit in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho as Sheriff John Mclntire's wife: "I helped Norman pick out the dress she was buried in. Periwinkle blue.") So audiences must have really choked on their popcorn watching her snarl her way through this one, baking cherry pies one minute, then mowing down Feds with a tommy gun the next. As one of the G-men on the case puts it: "If you didn't know the old witch, you'd swear she was just somebody's sweet old grandmother!" - Something Weird
Viva la Oldies! Although it has been proven that the image of Kate Ma Barker as the mastermind and leader of the Barker's Gang to be fictitious, but I kinda like this propaganda.
An old lady with a Tommy Machinegun, it is cool.
But this story shows us that parenting is really important, Ma Barker ruined her sons lives.

I just hope this is on dvd. At first look, i thought this was going to be a satire using footage from the female prison breakout episode of THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW. I'm pleased that this is a real movie. Thanks for posting.

Propeganda! The real Ma Barker was a mild manored little old lady with a 2-digit mentality who simply had the misfortune of being associated with criminals, the media of the day simply took dramatic licence and made her out to be a cold criminal mastermind~
