www.livewelldowntown.com is a local realtor in Austin, TX. These Tobacco Warehouses are for Sale in historic Danville, VA between $300,000 - $1,800,000. Uranium was just discovered in Danville so its becoming a little boom town in Southwest VA.

  • My family is from Reidsville since 1750's. This is interesting because I was living in and worked in downtown Richmond and watched the revitilization you mentioned. I was living with my sister in Danville, May 2008 when part of the mills burned. Can you do an update on the Tobacco warehousing project. My family in Reidsville, Caswell and Rockingham County tobacco growers so as I child, I would go to the auctioning in the early 1960's

  • "Just discovered uranium"....If you count 25 years ago as "just discovered," then you would be right. Not sure what the purpose of this video is. Credibility of the producer is definitely in question.

  • Thanks for the Upload!

  • I worked in those Davis Storage warehouses for 2 years. I love that section of Danville. I'm glad to see the promising things on the horizon. We've survived a rough decade but now the recovery has begun.

  • That part and every other part of Danville is growing rapidly, they are in the process of relaying the cobble stone by hand.

  • @Monkeybuzzness No, hes off about 10,000.

  • Hey whats wrong with Tarheels? I'm a Hoosier now but was a child Tarheel.

Looks pretty neat. How are things there? I've been all over the Civil War stuff but have never been to Danville.

  • @ubit397--Sad but true. I am glad you got out. Be sure to avoid NC like the plague too.

  • That was a comment I posted a year ago. I believe it. Many parts of Danville, VA look like they're still stuck in 1977-1981. It would be a much more pleasant place if those North Carolinians (a species of parasite I hate with a passion) would not go there. After Halloween of last year, I just got tired of it. I mean, it's very nice and *seems* quiet, and looks like somewhere I would like to be in. I almost found work there once but had to turn it down b/c the pay rates were too low. Thanks.

  • @Interests2009 I grew up in Danville and the part of town that looks abandoned looked like that 30 years ago too.
