The super bowl confirms that this was a TD. On the 2 pt conversion to make it 24-17, the ball was kicked out AFTER it broke the surface so technically the play was DEAD at that point. Just like here, Murphy had possession.
Charger fans live in denial. You can still be happy you won cuz things went your way but at least acknowledge you got helped.

its a good rule that u need to have complete posession throughout the whole catch, if that wasn't a rule then it would become a judgement call whether he had the posession which i really would never want the refs to ever have control of its much easier to make the correct call when the rules spell it out for u

He didn't have complete posession as he came down. If you do not have complete posession and any part of the ball touches the ground as you are coming down, it is an incomplete pass. If the ball never hit the ground on his way down, it would have been a touchdown.
