burning of the hermitage

an old Chinese zen story of an old Buddhist woman who support a practicing monk.
after ten years she send her daughter to the monk in order to check him, as the girl see the monk she jump and hug him (as her mother told her to do), the monk backs off and say that he feels like a cold coal in the winter, happily the girl runs back to her mother, yet as the old women hear of the monks reply, she immediately runs up to the hermitage chase the monk off and burn it down.
