Pack I use for day hiking and overnight hikes or could be used as a Bug Out Bag. This review is for the Maxpedition Kodiak Gearslinger Backpack and contents. For more product information check out www.maxpedition.com

  • In the jeep....

  • Is there a spot for a quilt ? It gets cold at night in a hammock :)

  • @msjcl1 ...Not a quilt but maybe a small poly blanket in or at the bottom of this pack...

  • I can't really decide between the sitka and the kodiak. I'm gonna use for work/EDC, but also for hiking/travelling, so I don't wanna to buy something that's too big/small!

Also, I carry on the right should I buy the S type?

  • @AndreaTiby ....You'll like the Sitka better and the S type...Thanks for watching...

  • Would this be too big for an EDC for a woman? I have a jumbo and that is not big enough for all of the "stuff" that I have. I tried a mondo.. but that seemed really big, but I like the look of the gear slingers. What do you think?

  • sablebush...I really think the Kodiak would be a bit much...Have you looked a the Lunada? I found this to be a really good size for an EDC..I have a review on my channel on this gear slinger and I think you might find this just right ...Hope this helps!!!!

  • @thenetwerx in the video he said he was carrying a hydration bladder in the compartment closest to the shoulder strap. remember the bladder tubing was routed down the should strap with the bite valve under the pals webbing.

  • I know you were carrying your Jetboil in the water bottle pocket and you had some Mountain House food with you. But where was your water? How were you carrying that?

  • I just got it. It is a cool pack. I think that a quilt or tarp would fit into the larger rollypoly. I wonder if it would balance properly if it were clipped to the front of the pack. Might be a nice way to add some space when needed.

  • thats not really a good pack for a day hike.
