Breaking Into My Van

Someone locked the keys in our van, and rather than pay for lockout service, I decided to break in. Here's how I did it.

Hey,I locked the keys in my '03 caravan and was able to get them out using this trick but there was no way i could get a nylon string through the seal i had to use fishing line.Thanks alot but how did you get that fat ass string to break the seal?oh ya and a tip for ya make the string about 6 feet long so your not suckin on the door hahaha,Thanks again

Thank you for posting this. My wife locked the keys in her van, as well as the spare key. I used your technique and within 15 minutes, I was a hero!

my sister locked the keys in and i we tried with a coat hanger but it just scratched the paint on the inside of the door (ooops) and then we did this but we cut apart a empty windshield washer jug into a flat peice

Thank you so god damned much. I locked my keys in my van last night and ran inside and youtubed "how to break into a dodge caravan". This was the first thing that came up and after 5 minutes "mise en place" with my cuttingboard, a length of string, a knife and a flashlight and 30 minutes struggling and repositioning the string it finally worked! You are like Macgyver but without the red switchblade.
