@STIinternational It won't let me post the suggested forums but I should be able to spell it out:
M Nineteen Eleven dot Org or Nineteen Eleven Forum dot Com are both excellent forums to ask for input and comparisons...

The Spartan is a very nice pistol. I bought one a coupe of months ago, and I can say, it feels just great. Amazing high end finish and fitting for such a low price. I would recommend it

For those of you having problems with the tight bushing, I o too. Fix it by rubbing a dab of axle grease on the bushig before you put it back on. Don' complain too much! a super tight bushing is one of the reasons this thing is a on hole gun at 20m with the riht ammo (at least mine is, in the hands of a better shooter than myself).

Over 8 months and 900 rounds and I still have only had 1 malfunction in the first magazine I put through it. Not one problem since. The pistol functions great with the full length guide rod but I have installed a traditional recoil spring guide and there were no detrimental effects from doing so. This is a very reliable pistol. It functions well even after 300 rounds pushed by alliant uniques old dirty formula. I love this weapon and I carry it evry day. The value is unparalleled.

Thanks for your comment.... i thought i was the only one to have a damned so tight bushing.

Well, mine came in. not one complaint. The weapon is super tight and man, that bushing feels like it's welded on there. nothing on it rattles a bit. I put 200 rounds of 230gr fmj Win. white box through it with only one failure to go into battery. this is significantly less than any other semi auto i have broke in. i am not happy, i am thrilled to the bone. from my range bag at 15 yards i put 5 rounds in one ragged hole and 3 just outside because i kept peering over because i was so surprised.
should my gun have came with the tool?

We include an STI bushing wrench with the pistol when it leaves our factory :)

Will this frame except the kimber 22 conversion kit? If so I'm sold. Also do you guys have any plans of making one of these in 40S&W?

@Springr1911
It should accept any .22 conversion designed for a series 70 1911. (Like for example, the STI 22 conversion kit) ;D While we're not coming out with a .40 anytime soon, they are available in 9x19 and .45ACP PLUS we unveiled at SHOT show our new Officers & Commander sized Spartans. (We'll put up a video as soon as we can)
