The Red Dragon express hauled by the Duchess of Sutherland in her new black livery following the recent major overhaul, calls for water before continuing the journey to Holyhead.

  • Nice shot of the locomotive and really like you films

  • @penninefilms Thank you for your kind remarks. Steams trains remind me of happy childhood memories of journeys with my parents. I like rail travel, a pleasant way to travel, ever changing scenery and of course people.

  • @penninefilms Yes, I liked your film, it was very interesting.

  • Great J, enjoyed it a lot.

    So that's where you were.!

I saw it at Beeston Castle at 10.14am and tried to get to Llandudno Junc before it but got held up at St Asaph so went to Conwy as it was at the junction taking on water.

I went on to Anglesey and got it at Rhosneigr as it returned.

I'll suss out that new footbridge before long.

Great to see you're as filmmakingmad as ever.

    john.

  • @Routerer It was good start to the steam season . I wondered where you might be. I hadn't realised that I had not responding, sorry. I was trying out a Sony TRV950E as a smaller alternative to the Panny. Yes, that footbridge looks very useful but their seems to be a lack of steam trains on this section of the line. Busy on a range of challenging projects. Jane
