Monday, December 20th, 2010, was by far the worst day in this edition of "Brits coping with snow". Anyway, how did these guys manage to have an empire?? There was less than 1 inch (2,56cm) of snow and everything was stopped. Here you can see how police with rifles prevent passengers from getting into the building. The building is already packed with people who queue everywhere. They're also losing patience since BAA Heathrow staff is totally disorganised - first of all, one cannot find any as they're safely behind the barrier, and second, you can only hear them announce flights if you stand close to them (which is impossible because of thousands of people standing in between them any you). Terminal 1 alone was thought to have 5.000 people queuing at that time.
im surprised at how poorly our airports have coped. They didnt leave any margins for snowfall and expected to run as usual, and thats not on.
