I conform to the gender that's comfortable to me. I don't think anyone should conform to what society says gender should be, but rather what they feel is right for them. I look at it, like you do, as a positive connection to the self, rather than the negative connection to society.

I wasn't feeling so well this morning, so it was really nice to see a new video from you. I like what you were saying here, especially about not making a big deal out of gender and letting kids form their own views and thoughts if they have any.

There was a recent post on genderqueer blog about a kid who chose to wear some pink zebra shoes, and it ended up being more about the zebras. Surprise!

Hello sama : ), love the jellyfish..Umm impressionist give a "sense" of something in there art, a shadow if you will, as an artist i can, with a degree of certainty, tell you we never truly finish a piece of work...rather like life in a way, we're never truly finished as we continually searching. xx Samantha

Really hard question not because the concept of gender non-conformity is hard to grasp, but because children and adults often ignore the right thing, but i suppose the more it is dealt with from an early age the harder it is to ignore, so therefore it would be great if it was addressed more often in schools by adults who were interested in doing the right thing, as an ex teacher the sub agenda on gender often promoted by staff is often more powerful than the well meaning curriculum, cheers Dee
