@Timewap I think the main problem was obviously a case of butt-hurt from the senior class.

@StuH42 That's EXACTLY what these films were for....to show people how they SHOULD be, after the disruptions of the previous two decades.

@heisanevilgenius I agree, I was in drama class and our teacher was fun and not so uptight like the teacher. In fact he would sometimes joke around more than we would. Sure he took his job seriously enough for us to put on good plays, but he never acted like a freaking nazi and lash out whenever we did some playful banter back and forth during rehearsals. Something tells me she wouldn't have made any extra-curricular activities any fun at all.

@rosrychaplet lol, its funny how the guy playing "the show-off/antgonist" looks like he is enjoying his part and giving off talented acting abilities compared to some of the more wooden performances of the other actors protraying "the good students". The guy playing the show off seems to be having fun with this video.

lol, that takes me back when I was in High School, some dumb boy acted like a show-off in front of me and the principle caught him and haranged him about "showing off to impress the girls." I didn't care if he got in trouble because of it though, he wasn't one of our most brightest straight A students so he had it coming XD

If you watch movies and these shorts from the 50s, everybody's parents were in their 70s. What's THAT about?

"Tonight we're gonna break TWO glasses!"

the show off attitude hasn't changed just the demographics.

How'd we get from the Feudal System to the Industrial Revolution in one class? I'd say the teacher skipped a bit.
That's going to be the WORST high school play in history.
"She's a show-off sympathizer!" Show-off enablers just make matters worse, don't they?

@Timewap Is that what it says? I couldn't read it. I spent 7th grade at a school where kids routinely spray-painted on walls, knocked holes in doors, and dropped desks and chairs from the 4th floor down to the 1st from the top of the main stairwell. There were gang fights every few weeks. I don't think a big, hand-painted sign would have even been noticed.
Judging by these PSAs the fifties must have been a very depressing time to grow up...
