This was a well moderated show. Notice how the host backs down when he sniffs a difference of opinion. Wead is right, of course.

Yep, this is how it's done.

This is an embarrassing coffee clatch of giddy, gossipy metro-sexuals with man crushes on Obama, doing vapid analysis of their unmanley, unpresidential President! Whatever happened to the representation of real men in the media?!
This coverage should be considered the exclusive territory of the kibitzing, menopausal hens over at "The View!

Of course the Hollywood nitwits love Obama--is this news?

Agreed. Maybe Leno did that march madness on purpose, though?

Well, Doug Wead was wrong (or at least partially wrong). After Obama threw out the my bowling is like the special olympics comment, the Repubs will have another sound bite to throw out for their 2010 hopes. Why would you be talking about bowling anyway?
The commentary discussing the reasons for Obama to be on Jay Leno was right on target. I also don't think any President walks into a planned appearance without preparing and knowing the possible questions and discussions. Doug Wead, as a Presidential historian was very astute in his evaluation of the advantage of media for this spot appearance.

Wead's comments on Fox Business news were better, they asked if there was a risk and he said yes because entertainment and politics are very different arts and sure enough, Obama goofed big. But we are all forgiving for this pres.
