Chef Ann Cooper is on a mission to increase kids' access to healthy food at school. Ann started the Food, Family, Farming Foundation, providing schools with the tools they need to serve fresh, nutritious meals on a limited budget. In 2010, Ann launched the Great American Salad Bar Project with Whole Foods Market, raising 1.4 million dollars to fund more than 500 school salad bars. Ann's tireless efforts to improve access to nutritious food in schools all across America have helped her garner the nickname of the Renegade Lunch Lady, as well as this year's Growing Green Knowledge Leader award.
