This was a video I put together in about 2003/4 for a retired RAF Tornado GR1 pilot.
A little something to remind him of the exhilaration and pure joy of flying at 700mph and 200ft.
Its more chill out and joy of flight than hardcore action and explosions.
The Panavia Tornado is fast approaching its 30th anniversary of service in the RAF and is likely to continue in service for another decade.
A collaboration between Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom, the Tornado has earned itself a reputation as a very formidable and highly flexible strike platform.
Its current form in RAF service is the GR4, the result of a Mid-Life Update program that vastly expanded on the aircrafts capabilities based on experience from the 1991 Gulf War.
Tornado GR4's formed the spearhead of the UK's contribution to Operation TELIC, the British contribution to the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
The politics and justifications of that war aside, the aircraft itself performed admirably, using the Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missile, laser guided bombs and RAPTOR recon pod.
Great Vid again Bry ! Thanks
