Hmm... I think I'll take this opportunity to advocate Mr. Butler.
Scarlett didn't care about Frank's death because she didn't truly love him, and Rhett was actually saving her from herself by marrying her. Otherwise she would have just found another man to use, and he thought he could truly make her love him. Turns out he was wrong - or so we think until Scarlett shows remorse at the end.
Bonnie's death was entirely an accident; Rhett's doting on her had nothing to do with it.

When I made this vid, I was thinking of the Scarlett that wouldn't admit her love for Rhett not even to herself, the one who learnt from her experience with Ashley... But you're absolutely right, and I never expected the song (any song, for that means) to fit Scarlett O'Hara perfectly.
