This happened outside my home along Tanglin Road on Friday 26 August 2011 at 10.15pm. I arrived home at around 10.20pm to discover that the Singapore flag, which had been hung on our gate to celebrate National Day, was on the pavement. The strings at each corner of the flag looked suspiciously flayed.
Running through our CCTV footage, we found that it was a slim stranger who ripped the flag and flung it to the ground.
Does anyone know who he may be? I've lodged a police report already, and they have the video footage as well as the flag in question. But the wisdom of crowds may be able to shed more light on this unwarranted act.
