And so all the starter module will look for, is ANY value that is zero (0) at one point and changes into the hertz range selected in the module. The instructions of your remote starter HAVE TO tell you what range you are looking for. Most kits you can select the range, although they are predefined. Hope this helps!

@lawnside82 There are probably more than 3 ways to get a speed signal of a car. One is indeed the crankshaft position sensor (which that wire was NOT), the ignition coil, and a direct speed sensor on crank or camshaft or both. Most engines have 3 sensors already. Depending on the model, you have to choose the wire. What you want to look for is Hertz (Hz) and the range the module looks for. Engine off means no reading, engine running gets u a alternating frequency.

that wire you was back probing, was that the crankshaft position sensor? i always wondered how did the remote start know when the car was running and when to stop spinning the starter

@pumpitdown0x Yeah, you have to wire a few more things into the module. I was going to do that at a later time and did not bother just yet. Once you have the bypass module installed, everything should go rather smooth from there. I got a little confused with the arm-rearm wires and anti theft. Something did not makes sense at the time...
