Britney Spears Vs. Dead or Alive Feat. Daft Punk & Justice (D.A.N.C.E)

Emme Vs. Mary (Snakelips Vs. Brillantina Pop)

"Gimme More" is a song by American pop singer Britney Spears. The song was recorded for her fifth album, Blackout. The song was written during her second pregnancy and features racy lyrics backed with breathy vocals and uptempo beats.

"Gimme More" was a commercial success with radio stations and digital stores during its pre-singles release. Announced as the lead single from the album, "Gimme More" was first released in Australia on October 6, 2007. It performed well, reaching the top ten on many international charts. "Gimme More" topped Billboard's Canadian chart and reached number three in the US Billboard Hot 100, making it Spears' highest-peaking single in the United States since her 1999 number-one debut "...Baby One More Time". It also peaked at number three in Australia and the United Kingdom. In Australia and the US, the single was certified platinum.

The single garnered mostly positive reviews, primarily because of its club-natured melody and spoken intro. The single's accompanying stripper-inspired music video also received media attention, with Spears' pole dancing being panned by critics. On the other hand, the video was considered an improvement on her highly criticized 2007 MTV Video Music Awards opening performance.

You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" is a song originally released by Dead or Alive on their 1985 album Youthquake. The original cut was over four minutes long and was edited for the album. The unedited version was released on an '80s CD called Monster '80s Volume Two.

This song was the first UK number-one hit for the Stock Aitken Waterman production trio. Originally released in November 1984, the record reached number one in March 1985, taking seventeen weeks to get there. In the US, the single peaked at #11 in September of that same year

"You Spin Me Round" was re-released in 2003 at the same time as the Dead or Alive greatest hits album Evolution was released. The song only reached number twenty-three in the UK singles chart, however the single was re-released again on January 30, 2006 due to lead singer Pete Burns' controversial time as a contestant on television series Celebrity Big Brother, and reached number five. Earlier remixes were in 1996 and 1997 (both included on the U.S. release of Nukleopatra), and on Fragile and Unbreakable: The Fragile Remixes. No videos were made for these, however. It is also interesting to note that the 1996 remix bears a few similarities to Haddaway's "What Is Love?", while the 2003 Metro remix is obviously based on Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You out of My Head" (several interviews with Burns have him stating he was jealous of her for that song and he wished he had done it). The latter also contains a small (uncredited) sample from Madonna's "Die Another Day" (the "uuh" vocal, right before the second verse kicks in).

  • woah that was so amazing!

  • Lovethe song! but weird video

  • There is a '96 video for 'Spin Me' (infact 2 versions of the video), 1 has the 'FAMOUS' controversial knife scene, 1 does not, a fantastic mix by 'The Sugar Pumpers', who also remixed 'Sex Drive' for an Australian release. The original DOA mix version of 'Sex Drive' was made into a video which featured on Australia's famous RAGE TV! There was also a video of 'Spin Me' 97 released by RKG France. Thierry Calmont authorised this which was edited from the '96 video. Thank you for this great remix.
