"Jane look," Michelle began, I shut my locker and saw Kendra walking past Austin without saying a 'hello', or even looking at him for that matter. Austin and Kendra broke up Saturday it was fantastic. "She didn't even look at him, it's so over." She ended smiling.
"I know right, the first cheerleading practice was so akward." I gushed as Michelle and I walked to the buses.
"He was totally looking at you at lunch." Michelle told me and I began gushing about him again. "I know it made my heart explode, anyway aren't you excited for the bowling party tonight. All the cheerleaders will be there but more importantly ALL the football players."
"Well I gotta go, I'll see you tonight." Michelle ended the conversation and walked to her bus and I did the same.
That night I spent two and a half hours picking out something to wear and doing my make up, and in those two and half hours I had some company. "Knock knock, hey Jane." I looked in my vanity mirror and saw Kevin sitting on my bed.
"So I hear you're going to a party." He suddenly started, " So I hear they'll be guys-"
"Out!" I yelled, I knew where he was going and I frankly didn't want to talk about. A couple minutes later I heard knocking on my door.
"Hey." I looked up from the mirror and saw Mercedes. I put my mascara cap on and walked into my closet to get my purse. "So I hear that Austin guy's going to be there."
"Yeah it's going to be amazing!" I replied walking out of my closet to my bed where Mercedes was.
"Tell me about him." Mercedes said as I sat on my bed.
"Well he has ocean blue eyes and he's totally into saving the enviroment just like me and" I was about to go on until I relized what she was doing. "Oh my god Mercedes I can't believe this, what are they paying you or something?" I asked getting off my bed.
"No its just that I don't want you to get hurt like last time." Mercedes urged and the sentence made me scoff.
"Pssh come on Mercedes, I was not hurt! If you didn't remember I was in fifth grade at the time and Jake and I only went out for a week" I explained to her.
"It's just you're like Nick, you fall too hard too fast. You guys just don't know when to guard your hearts, I don't want you to get hurt." Mercedes urged again and I scoffed again.
"I am not like Nick at all! First off I'm not a guy and......" I trailed off not knowing what to say. Luckily my phone rang and it was Michelle telling me she was outside.
"Wow." I said when Michelle and I walked into the bowling alley. "I know there are like a hundred hot guys here." Michelle replied flirtatiously waving to a guy who was looking at her as he walked by. Michelle knew how to attract guys in an instance, it was insane she could get a guy in the matter of miutes.
"Hey Jane, Michelle." Austin greeted us as soon as we put on our bowling shoes. It seemed as if the air around us suddenly went away. I was speechless. "Hey." Michelle effortlessly said and the only thing I did was smile.
"Do you girls wanna get some nachos with me." He asked, my stomache fell to the ground because I hated nachos, the wierd orange yellowness color the cheese sauce, the gross greasy feeling when you ate one. I hated them so much.
"I would love to but Jane doesn't like nachos." Michelle responded, I looked at Austin then at Michelle she looked psyched to do something with Austin. Who woudn't be, he was in fact the hottest guy at our school.
"Michelle you should go, I'll be fine. I'll bowl with Kate and Autumn." I told the two with a smile.
"I'll join you later Jane." Michelle promised as she walked away with Austin.
It's funny how people promise things but they never go through with it.
I'm sorry I haven't posted in such a long time! I was in Texas for about two weeks for vaction and family. I hope you guys forgive me, I already wrote the next chapter so it won't be long until I post that.
