Recruit these desperate folks to volunteer in building new factories and new infrastructure. The stock market has pretended that its the bigger part of the economy, but its not. In fact, the publicly traded sector is small compared to the real economy, made of millions of small businesses run by honest people. You'll still be able to take your honestly earned dollars, walk to the corner store and buy locally grown foods from the stores owner. That's the heart of the economy. As the stock market crashes, pensions will be hit, loans will be scarce. But life goes on.
