well a few days ago when i start my car it'll start but the minute i turn it off and start it back on the engine cranks but it wouldn't start. Today i notice my electrical shuts off but the car still running but my radio and the speedometer keeps shutting off and turns on again.

i was wondering if this could be the main relay problem?

btw is there a difference between the main relay and the fuel pump relay?

which one do i need or could it be something else?

HELP

  • I had to pull out the main relay and re-solder one of the joints, i found out it was crack. Now the car runs fine and for what ive heard this happened to a lot of hondas

  • I finally opened up the main relay and found the solder cracked since I know solder well I just re-solder the points and boom it works thx for all the reply.

  • check your computers terminal shouldnt have problems if ground plug causes problem then take it to dealership anykind that has the type of company it is

  • Yes main relay is fuel pump and injectors as well as a plethora of other things. Your cranking with failure to start sounds like a classic main relay problem.. but with the way those gauges are loosing power like that I would almost lean toward ignition switch.. maybe both.

  • its a ground my old car did something similar to that.

  • it could be alternator problems, mine did something like that, and i replaced the alternator with a spare one and it fixed it. or try looking for loose connections on the alternator, or battery, or loose or corroded ground cables,,, hope this help
