KATHY BEN HAROUSH is an Israeli Rock / Opera Singer / Songwriter, age 34 from Tel Aviv. Kathy's music style could be described as a combination of Gothic Rock , with Metal,Electronic, Opera, oriental influences and rap core. "Evanescence meets Lincoln Park". Kathy started working on material for this album on late 2006; the plan was to go for a melodic Rock and Opera core sound. Kathy who was classically trained at the Israeli
Music Academy at Tel-Aviv University as a professional Opera singer (Dramatic Mezzo-soprano) , was dying to sing Rock , and so the album Gothic, or rather, Operatic influence was etched. "KATHY BEN HAROUSH - KARMA NOIR" Album (2008) is the 3ed album the singer/songwriter has published under her own label K.B.H , The 1st album "KATHY" (2002 IN ENGLISH) wan a European distribution contract from "virgin", the following album "TIME FOR LOVE" (2005 IN HEBREW) scored 6 times the National Radio top charts In Israel ,staying there for 3 month each song!!!
In June 2008 , Kathy Ben Haroush was elected as the readers choice in London, UK by top Rock Magazine "ALTERNATIVE MAG" scoring 1st place with the song "YOU" from her Album " KATHY BEN HAROUSH - KARMA NOIR"(2008). leaving behind very famous Rock bands/Artists!!! over 20,000 readers voted for her!!!!!!!
Kathy's music is rapidly spreading by word to mouth on the net, and just recently she was approached by American soldier's in IRAQ (BRAVO TROOP).
