  • Amaizing!

  • weird transitions and no explosiveness. It looks more like for show than the real thing. I think the landing there hurt his score. YXC is definitely better

  • This guy has flawless basics, power, balance, but the style and continuity is a little weird. I bet he has to work twice as hard due to the history. I would love to see his compulsory.

  • i'm really not a fan of YXC's style, but you also have to factor in that he did a 720 pretty much perfectly. that wins him a lot for his overall performance score.

  • You probably can't have a judge from your own country, so every competitor gets a super strict Chinese judge, and YXC gets every other less experienced judge.

  • I think that is a fair assessment.

YXC's power is of a superb standard especially in his housaotui which is world class.

  • Yo Mike,

Looking it over it would have been very close between them if the split landing would've been correct. He also got deducted by B judges on that, which means without the miss in the split landing he would have had 9.78 pts, and that's pretty close to YXC's 9.83...

Also I feel YXC have loads more explosiveness and power in his movements compared with most of the others I've seen lately, both in China and the world.

  • Hey wake up, they PAY for every medal, japan's budge is not enough that's all.

  • why wasn't this first, second or third place?

The Russian competitor realised all positions mabu with the toes towards outside, even though that its routine I liked much, I believe that this had to be second

  • Having read all of this and gone back to look at YXC's performance, I just find Daisuke's form to be more imaginative. YXC's transitions and runs are rather boring. No doubt the guy is a badass when it comes to getting his height and rotations down, but altogether the performance was tasteless. I applaud Daisuke for uses more of the martial in the art.
