@florzinnha I have a better example for you: A Ruler! A King rules his country and therefor is the ruler of the country. But you can also use a ruler to measure the lenght of things. Nobody ios going to change the words, although some leaders might be offended. The difference is these two words have nothing in common, but (original) Samba, Samba de Gafeira and ballroom Samba originate from the same country in a similar period of time and therefore share the name.
-
But also samba de gafeira is completley different to original Samba, and therefore it called samba da gafieira. Nobody seems to be angry about that. This is ballroom samba and it came from Brazil to EUROPE like 100 years ago. The name was chosen then, and nobody is going to change it. It is also taught in Brazilian dance studios.

@florzinnha If you don't care then go back to your hole then. Unfortunately, the creation of International Ballroom Samba is based on "Ignorance". But that's the business of the previous generation. It's too late to change anything and moving on will help you live longer. On the other hand, the way that Brazilian screams on videos now-a-day is ignorance, too. The world evolves, get smarter or die out in your hole.

@seravi well, I don't care when this "international samba" was created, 70s, 50s. I don't care. I'll continue thinking this dance is ridiculous and embarrassing for who knows what's really samba. I would understand and like if a new dance was created WITH ANOTHER NAME based on samba. That's not the case. The essence of samba is completely lost. This is a mix of a lot of other "latin" dances. What shows how people tend to generalize what don't know. That's is called "ignorance", besta quadrada.

@florzinnha Research the history of the dance and you will understand, you dimwit. The dance was originated from your Samba over 70 years ago and changed tremendously through time and it is called International Ballroom Samba and shortened to Samba where convenient. If hip hop actually originated from Waltz then "International Waltz" is fine; but it did not. All ballroom dancers knows about the original (your) Samba and respect it . The Brazilian, however, have you as an example: narrow minded.
Julianne is such a great dancer. I love this dance but her dress is really distracting, the bottom was nice but the furry top was odd.

She does the samba really well... but her dress should have been given second thoughts
