How to tighten your corset using the modified (upside-down) bunny ears lacing technique.
This helps you get the waist a little bit tighter and assists you in closing the corset completely.

  • how can you tell what your size would be in corset? where do u measure your waist and etc?

  • @whitewolf200 Measure around the smallest part of your waist which is usually an inch (or a little more) above your belly button. If your waist is, say, 26" then you would buy a corset in size 22 (which means 22" closed waist for the corset). It doesn't change much whether you're wearing the corset over or under clothing, unless the dress you're wearing is a very thick, heavy fabric.

  • do you always were your corsets over a shirt of just for the vid?

  • @Anathiron I usually wear my corsets under my shirts to hide them. I'll wear them on the outside if I'm going to a party or filming a video (because people want to see the corset). When I wear my corset under my clothing, I'll wear a liner between my skin and the corset so it's more comfortable and my corset stays clean.

  • I have a quick question. I am very new to corsetting. I have a 34 inch waist and purchased a 30 inch underbust corset (as was recommended). When I tighten it, it closes at the very top although I still have a way to go along the waist line. Is it not small enough and should I go down a couple of inches more? Or should I continue to proceed with the corset I have and tighten gradually along the waist line?

  • @InNouterbeauty07 The corset would be considered "too big" only if you can close it all the way at the waistline. It's nice that you can close it all the way at the top though, because that means you shouldn't have any rib restriction or breathing issues when the corset is completely closed at the waist. When you tighten your corset try to make the back edges parallel (like || instead of /\ ) so there is even tension along the back.

  • omg i love you! lol thank you for posting this! i have had a problem with slight bulging in that area using the normal bunny ears lacing method and this will clearly eliminate the unsightly problem! =) now that this has been explained, i know i have seen this method before but never realized it was an alternitive method, silly me! again thank you so much!! your youtube has been nothing but an inspiration to me and my tightlacing journey. thank you for that =)

  • @crazyaboutsquirrels Thanks! :) I have a video series called "Physical Effects of Corseting", you can find it as a playlist on my channel. Each video covers a different topic about how corseting affects the body and certain issues that may come up. If you corset too much too soon, they can be painful and harmful, but if you corset responsibly and carefully, they can sometimes do more good than harm.

  • I've never seen this technique before, it's really clever! And you are really beautiful x

    Thanks

  • if i wanna put a corset over my dress does the measure stay the same?

  • @FernandoTorrera Ooh ouch! I worked in a biochemistry/microbiology lab for years and it was also pretty bad for my back, leaning over chemicals. I hope the corset will give you some comfort and relief!

  • @bishonenrancher im getting a corset from timeless trends I cant wait im sick of sitting in the horrible classroom seats that give me a sore back and having to lean over chemicals for hours in a photo lab. I have a herniated disk so classroom chairs are unforgiving.
