i hate kansas, it sucks balls. this stuff is all cool, but the people there just don't do it for me. they're weird and asinine.

They did a poor job of spreading the fire. One way is to sit on a flat bed truck and drag fire behind you, or you can use a four wheeler with a weed burner dragging behind, or a gas drip. Hell I can spread fire much faster than these idiots. Also most people spread fire with a case of beer on their four wheeler.

Also, to say that I "have no clue" about Americans is laughable. I've lived in this country my entire life. My initial comment about Americans and their relationship to the word "spiritual" -- and that relationship's attendant class connections -- is spot on, and you know it is spot on. That's why you bothered to comment. You can't stand to talk about class. It's America's big dirty secret. And the cultural stupidities foisted on the American public in the name of "spirituality" are numerous.

Of course I don't know anything about Trevor's economic upbringing. What was it by the way?

But for you to say that I should "stick to things (that I) know" is saying that I shouldn't learn anything new.

And to say that I "don't know anything" about Kansas or its people is a lie. I thought Kansas was a beautiful state when I spent about a week there on my way to California. Also, I have at least half a dozen books on my shelf about Kansas. To say I know "nothing" is a lie.

First of all bapyou, let me start by saying that I'm not disagreeing with you on your concept that something does not have to be "calm and meditative" as you put it in order to be spiritual. My issue with you is that you have no clue what you're talking about when it comes to Trevor, his economic upbringing, Americans, or the conformity of his music.

You know nothing about Kansas or its people. You know nothing about Trevor or me. Stick to things you know and stop tearing others down.

The Sex Pistols are spiritual as well. Amercians have a dumb idea for the meaning of the word "spiritual." You seem to think that "spiritual" only refers to something that is calm and meditative, which, of course, is a limiting and completely erroneous idea.

Actually, I'd say your friend is performing music that conforms to the moneyed WASP idea of "spiritual." In what economic class did he grow up?

We're coming up on the time to prairie burn this spring and it will be my first time doing the burning. I have watched it and you are right, it is spiritual. I am looking forward to helping in renewing the prairie. Thank you for sharing.
